Chris Jarczynski

I was born Christmas Day in 1961 to a 17 year old unwed mother in the Bronx who gave me up for adoption to The New York Foundling home for children. My original last name was Dickinson. The Foundling was started with a $10 donation to two Sister's of Charity nuns who were having babies dropped at their doorstep by mothers who couldn’t raise the child. There's a great video on Youtube "New York Foundling-Cofeed" I suggest you check out.

I was adopted by a wonderful family (middle class) who raised me Catholic in Huntington, L.I. It was a great place to grow up and I had a genuinely happy and loving home. I went to college at LeMoyne in Syracuse where I studied accounting. There I was a concert security guard and Rathskellar DJ.

My career was running a family owned business my father started selling presentation binding equipment and supplies to Banks, Law Firms, Advertising Agencies, etc. I was making a very good income by the time I was 30 at the heyday of the business but computers bought us to a paperless society and we had to close the doors on the business a few years ago. My non-profit experience is with God’s Love We Deliver, Burrwood Home For The Blind and Housing Works.

Going back to the time that I was five years old I can remember thinking that somehow I was supposed to collect a small amount of money from everybody in the world (can you imagine that). I didn't want it to get rich--I just had the feeling that somehow that was something I was supposed to do! Perhaps that was a seed planted by "the powers that be" that is just now--at this point in my life--ready to actually manifest. Maybe it's destiny calling ;)
